I finally got my website linked to the site that will sell my art in multiple formats. So, I feel relief, excitement, but also anxiety! I am not sure what to expect. I’ve only had all the artwork up on this site for about a day now, and there have already been people looking at it. That’s a positive! I am hopeful that those who start looking may eventually start buying. I am crossing my fingers as I make my way into this online marketplace! A plus for this new venture I am on is that I don’t have to sit for multiple days at an art fair to make only one or two sales. The artwork is available to view and purchase at anytime from anywhere! Another plus is that the investment up front is low in comparison to art fairs – even the cheaper ones. And I don’t have to physically set up a booth. The biggest negative is that there is so much photography and artwork online that mine could get lost among all the others out there competing for customers. I guess it is still just a game of finding the right buyer at the right time – someone to whom the artwork speaks – the proverbial needle in the haystack! But my art will reach a wider audience through my website and my storefront than any art fair could have ever done. Well, here I go!
